Just A Few Thoughts...

Time comes and goes by...It`s been more than a month since my previous post. Simply I did not think that there was something to write about. The rush with pixel sites continues and it seems that all creators of these sites are concerned is only to contact each other for link exchange. Yes, of course, this slowly helps to raise your traffic, but for what reason, since mostly no one is interested in real pixel space buys. I can see it from looking up most of the pixel ads sites. Only number of free link exchanges is growing and that`s all. I do not see how to make people believe that you are serious about your offers and you do best you can to make your site easy, attractive and cheap for advertisers. It has good ranking but still the number of those who bought its pixel space is just a few...

Follow up

It`s been over ten days since my previous post. Holidays took much of my time. Friends, relatives, parties, parties and again parties...
I have been checking the site, of course, and added several exchange links on to the American Board. And I got another Alexa rating which shows that Oakforde is getting more and more visitors. Surprisingly, there have been none interested in my Charity Initiative. I blame this on the holidays. Thanks to all who showed interest in pixel link exchange with my site. I have made up my mind to use Oakforde Pixel Advertising to help raise vital funds for a research into breast cancer. I will pay 15% commission of the cost of your ad to a registered breast cancer research charity. Your title, amount you paid for your pixels, 15% commission of your purchase, date of commission remittance and name of the charity the commission is transferred to will then be published on DONATIONS page of Oakforde Pixel Advertising. If you wish to do so you may e-mail the site owner to nominate a registered charity of your own and it will receive 15% of the cost of your advert. New fund raising campaign will soon be launched

I have been busy over the last two weeks allocating free ads on the site. But this is not the main reason that kept me away from posting to my blog.
I am working on making my site a part of a fund raising programme aimed at providing money to cancer research and treatment. What I want to do is to give up to 15% of the purchased pixel space cost from Global and European Pixel Boards to a nominated registered cancer research project.
I will soon publish all the details on my site so each willing customer may donate money for cancer research simply by buying pixel ad space from my site.
All donators as well as the amount paid will then be published on the special DONATIONS page of Oakforde.

Choose the block or several blocks you want to buy, arrange payment by one of the payment methods, attach coordinates of the chosen blocks to payment details or send me e-mail. I invite customers to place ad/image/logo up to 400 pixels COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE on either American, Australian or European pixel advertising board! This offer starts as of today November, 26, 2005 and will be valid till end of March 2006 (At least that is what I am thinking to do now. Maybe it will last till next summer in the end). All you have to do to place your ad on to one of the above mentioned pixel advertising boards is to send me e-mail message with your ad GIF image (not more than 400 pixels), your ALT and point out what board you have chosen for your logo. That`s it. If you want to put a logo which is more than 400 pixels in size, you may pay for additional pixel blocks by usual payment procedure. But doing that DO NOT FORGET to inform me by e-mail what you have paid for with best possible details

Just a few thoughts about pixel advertising

I`ve been in pixel advertising for a little over a month by now. Things seem to be really hard at the start with huge number of pixel sites coming up daily. Every new site want to make it appear that there is something special about it, that it is not like the rest of the mob.
In my opinion that`s a common mistake. Actually there can hardly be something more interesting than Alex`s idea itself. What we can do is to spread his idea even more worldwide or netwide with our simple, welldesigned and attractive sites. Huge number of potential customers on the globe who might be interested to use pixel advertising will not leave our sites unoccupied. That`s for sure. We have to be real professionals to keep going our job every day and to meet all the requirements of our potential clients...
Just some ideas in my spare time
