Also Links to 2 new trailers (Sky1 version and an official version) have been added to the Redemption Page, there is also news of another new 3 minute official trailer which will air in the US tomorrow (Source). We will have a link available for this trailer as soon as one becomes available.

So keep checking back for more info on 24 Redemption and Season 7 as it develops.

Although there are several reliable sources quoting this name change all the official promotional material still says Exile, so it should be taken with a pinch of salt - Source1, Source 2

Also many online UK DVD retailers are quoting the release date for 24 Redemption as 01/12/08, 1 week after the US release date, this isn't a confirmed date but it is listed by several different retailers - Source

My guess would be that it will air within a week after the US broadcast (23/11/08), as the air dates of episodes of 24 on Sky have been getting nearer to the american air dates for the last 3 years, the most recent being Season 6 following just 7 days after the US broadcast.

There is also news on a Region 1 (USA) DVD release of the prequel on 25/11/08, just 2 days after it's US air date. The DVD will feature an extended creator's cut of 24: Exile on DVD. Extras include commentary, "Making Of" and "Children of War" featurettes, a brief summary of the sixth season, the season 7 trailer, and the "First Act" of the seventh season. No news on a UK release, they may choose to release a Region 2 (Europe) version of this DVD or include it with the Season 7 DVD set.

Also I will be reviewing the Season 1 Speical Edition DVD, for those of you who dont know what this is, it is the Season 1 DVD in a cool metal tin, along with a 7th disk containing all new bonus features such as 2 alternate endings, extended and deleted scenes aswell as a new featurette and much more, so far it is only due for release in the states, but there are many retailers that will ship it over to the UK, and im sure at some point it will get a region 2 release.

 I will be posting a full review of the DVD when I receive it, but for now here is a little taster.

There hasnt been many updates to report of recent, but according to my sources Season 7 is to start filming again on the 22nd April 2007, which means that we should get it for January 2009 (as fox said).

The movie which will air Fall (Autumn) 2008 in the US is set between seasons 6 & 7 designed to bridge the gap acting as a prequel of sorts leading upto the shows return in January 2009. The producers began securing the shows key cast members on Wednesday.

This is a great compromise, we dont have a rushed watered down season, but we dont have to wait until 2009 to get out fix of new 24. There is no word as of yet who will be appearing in the film and not many details have emerged, but i imagine that it will break the real time format.

I believe that we in the UK will get the movie around the same time as the US, as since the strike, SkyOnes schedule hasnt been looking too good.

Published using FREE HitRSS]]> Wed, 20 Feb 2008 23:10:00 GMT http://blogs.hitrss.com/24uk#rss2 Strike Over!!! http://www.freewebs.com/24uk As of today the WGA strike has officially ended meaning that in a few months all your favourite shows can reyrn to normal, but unfortunately 24 will be filming the remaining episodes throughout the year to avoid loosing options on its actors and then airing season 7 next year (Jan 09) and in the midst of all this one of 24s co-creators has left the show wanting to write different styles of television, joel surnow's (who has been with the show since it started) departure is effective immediately.

Expect new spoiler updates within the next month or too as the writers are back where they belong.
